Dr. Jeff Shields is a lifelong resident of central Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He has many years of medical and surgical experience with dogs and cats, as well as extensive experience with smaller pets, such as ferrets, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rats, mice, and gerbils. Dr. Shields also has advanced training in veterinary ultrasound examination techniques.
Dr. Shields' family consists of his wife, Connie, four sons, a black Labrador Retriever, a Golden Retriever, a Red-Eared Slider turtle, and several farm animals. When not tending to the world of animals, Dr. Shields is a competitive distance runner and an avid cyclist.
Dr. Ben Shields graduated from The Ohio State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. While obtaining his undergraduate degree he worked at several veterinary practices as a Veterinary Assistant. Continuing on as a Buckeye, Dr. Ben obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013. Dr. Ben began his career at Cross Creeks Animal Hospital immediately after graduation. He currently resides in Pickerington, and enjoys running, rock climbing and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors.
